canon list` the canon list for bound will be posted here for your viewing pleasure. see who's taken and who's open, and who's important to move the plot along. if you see a canon you are planning on taking before someone else snatches them up, you can also post here and recieve a limited reserve on a character before joining under their name. if a canon is taken, feel free to keep checking back. with activity updates and the like, your favorite canon character could soon open up and just as quickly become yours. as a side note, canon profiles will be graded more diligently than the average sheet, so please do not commit to one of these characters if you know you cannot produce a proper bio for them.	1	395	Aug 3 2009, 04:42 PM In: ( THE CANONS ) By: tfqnbfs

character logs` by setting up your own log thread, you can keep the threads your character is involved in organized, as well as let people know exactly how involved and busy your character is in other threads on the site. you can set up your character log however you want; keep it simple, make it snazzy -- the decision is up to you. these logs aren't required, but i reccomend them because they are extremely helpful, and keep all of your current roleplays in check.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
subplots and miniplots` small plots that may have to do, or may not have to do with the site's general plot may be posted here. sometimes the staff will create canon sub and miniplots, but members are encouraged to create their own. plots like these should not involve the entire population of the site, only a couple of people to keep things neat and orderly. when creating a mini or subplot, keep it creative! we love to see diversity and fresh ideas.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
letters and telegrams` here is where you can send letters and other notices to loved ones, friends, cohorts, and perhaps even business partners for them to recieve and read. this tool is a great idea for characters who have relationships of all sorts in other cities or countries, where seeing each other face to face isn't very convenient. this form of communication is popular among the more upper-class fold and the east india trading company, for it usually takes someone a bit of education to know how to read and write properly.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:

the black pearl` known for it's reputation of preying on ships of all sorts, the black pearl is truly one of the most powerful ships in all of the caribbean sea, but a well-kept ship nonetheless. with dark wooden decks both above and below, and ebony sails torn to shreds, this vessel is difficult to miss. once called the wicked wench and owned by the east india trading company, it was sunk several years ago and raised from the depths by a pact between davy jones and the ex-captain, jack sparrow. now it prowls the ocean with purpose, not standing for those who come between it and it's destination. the sooty tern` among the glorious, large ships of other captains, this one stands alone as not being one of those ships. it's more of a dinghy then an actual sea-faring vessel. the boat is obviously quite small and seems to be banged up a bit, whether from the harsh seas or just from age. port royal` established quite a few years ago off the coast of mainland jamaica, port royal has grown to be one of the most populated and recognized material docks of the century. however, it has also become known as a place where pirates tend to pass through quite regularly, though the british royal navy is increasing the port's security to better the safety of it's civilians. for now it is operated by the governor weatherby swann, a respected man in the eyes england and of all the port's commoners. though he may not run a very bright island, but should you be a ruffian thinking they can ransack the place without consequences, you are very wrong. pirates, ye' be warned.	1	0	Jul 21 2008, 04:21 PM In: at least it's something By: elizabeth rose swann
tortuga` well known for it's wild customers who come to blow off steam, top notch brothels, good crew recruiting environment, and always stocked-with-rum taverns, tortuga is the rec room of pirate society. there are no rules here other than to enjoy one's self, whether it be through the companionship of one of the local women or by smashing an empty beer bottle over some random person's head. this is also the only port that isn't monitored by the royal navy, nor can it be controlled by the east india trading company. it's usually crowded here, since it's the only place where pirates can escape their worst enemies and fears; the law.	1	0	Aug 1 2008, 06:06 PM In: && I SAW IT FIRST By: riley rose stoneville
isla de muerta` the place that once housed the cursed aztec gold, and is still home to the rest of the black pearl crew's bearings. the island lives up to it's name as it is rather desolate and rocky in appearance, and an ever-present mist shrouds its shores. but, once you sail through the narrow caves, which can only be reached by a small boat, you'll notice the floor of the passageway is littered with gold, contrasting the walls, and the main chamber is filled with even greater treasures. but if you take the chance of picking up a souvenier on your way out, you're taking a chance with your life; because who knows? some other treasures hidden within the bowels of the cavern could come at a cost as well.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
rumrunner's isle` this is the island that the rumrunners used to use as a cache. it is also the same island that jack sparrow was abandoned upon several years ago after the black pearl mutiny was staged. due to combined acts of the british royal navy and the east india trading company, the rumrunners were arrested for illegal smuggling and the island is no longer used. yet, it makes a fine rest and relaxation spot for the passing sailor. perhaps you can even find the hidden, underground rum cellar, but it's highly unlikely.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
cuba` home to several dangerous and strange oddities, such as large alligators, the island of cuba is a dark and mysterious land made up of a few beaches and long, winding marshes through a confusing jungle-like environment. the only way through the island is by dinghy, and if you make the right turns and follow the right currents of the river, you could find yourself in a marshland community, with houses that are hoisted high upon poles and sitting over the water. if you're in need of guidance, perhaps you can stop by the shack of tia dalma, but be sure to bring proper payment.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
pelegosto` a thick island, covered in mass vegitation and filled to the brim with fauna, such as wild boars. it it also home to a society of cannibals, with odd appearances and even odder forms of religion. if you manage to make your way past the natives, there are still other dangers, like vines and thickets, as well as deep chasms. you're probably better off just tripping over the unsightly tree roots though, being hunted by those who live on pelegosto isn't an ideal way to spend your time exploring. but should you encounter them, just keep in mind not to let yourself become their divine figure.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:

europe` one of the most populated lands in the entire world. depending on where you are depends on the climate, but there are several different countries, ranging from england to italy. most of the shipments to islands like port royal are transferred from these places, since they have some of the most active ports ever seen before. europe has also helped to create ports not unlike port royal; for it is working its way into the carribean in order to expand itself.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
asia` while it is one of the most undiscovered and untamed continents, asia is credited for its strength and inventiveness. while their ports are not as active as those of europe, they still manage to sell their materials such as gunpowder and fireworks to places around the globe. if you venture here, you can go to places such as china, singapore, and even india.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
africa` wild and practically unexplored, africa is usually only a favorite of the east india trading company, because of their growing interest in slavery. there are hardly any ports here, as the population does not have much of a connection with any place outside of the continent. however, some locals will sometimes leave to explore the world, and usually end up migrating to the caribbean.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
south america` home to many exotic people and animals, this continent holds many secrets and treasures. the ports here are very few; the only transporting made to other lands is natural medicines and fruits. because it sits directly on the equator, the climate is very humid here, and isn't exactly what one could call ideal for a person who wears heavy clothing or brings a lot of effects with them. but, it makes a good getaway, nonetheless, if you can afford to sail here.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
north america` after gaining its independence from england not too long ago, the newly founded america has become a popular dock for east india trading company shipments, as well as secret pirate excursions and behind the scenes theft. for the most part though, the new world is made up of its eastern banks. the west has yet to be truly explored.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
antarctica` one of the coldest, savage, and unsurvivable places in the entire ocean. glaciers float about the sea, strange animals lurk upon the ice and even stranger ones lurk in the sea. there are no ports here -- no one man could ever completely settle here having come from the caribbean. venture here if you would like, but it is strongly discouraged unless you have enough clothing in your ship to bundle up; else you'll suffer ice-coated hair and even frostbite.	0	0	-- In: ---- By:
